EARNIE LEE GILES SR. Earnie went home to his Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday 21, 2019 at the age 90. He served in the United States Navy, he enlisted the day after his 16th birthday in Phoenix, AZ on October 26, 1944. After basic training he was sent to Saipan during WW2. He was a life long member of the Veterans of Underage Military Service. On a 60 day leave starting on January 21, 1946 he met and married Marilyn Jean Miller. During their marriage they had Earnie Jr. on March 06, 1947 and Patrick on October 24, 1949. Marilyn passed away on January 23, 1957. He then met and married Carolyn Edna in late 1958, their son Stephen was born on September 09, 1959. Carolyn passed away on February 2, 2014. His third wife was Helen Johnson she passed away on October 3rd, 2016. He worked for SC Johnson and Son (wax) from 1961 until his retirement in 1989. Dad love to play golf, he became a 9 handicap golfer he did not learn to play until he was in his 30's. He became a deacon at North Phoenix Baptist Church in the 1990's then at First Baptist of Sun City as deacon, head deacon and back to deacon. He is survived by his three son's their wife's, six grand children, seven great grand children either by birth, marriage or adoption. One of the Bible versus he loved and talked about,was John 3:16. The Service will be held on Saturday June 1st, 2019 at the First Baptist Church 11019 West Peoria Ave, Sun City AZ, he will be interned at the National Veterans Cemetery, 23029 Cave Creek Road AZ, on Monday June 3rd, 2019 with full military honors.
