Edwin W. (Bud) Clark (92) of Surprise, AZ passed away on January 25, 2019. Born in Weehawken, NJ July 2, 1926. He was married for 50 years to the late Marie Dolores Fiorentino Clark who passed away July 22, 1999 in Sun City West, AZ. They had four children Christine C. Basta (James) Surprise, AZ, Nancy A. Haggarty (John) Honesdale, PA, the late Gerard L. Clark (Carolyn) Honesdale, PA, and the late Diane M. Love Honesdale, PA. Nine grandchildren James, Michael, Matthew (Kristine) Clark, Colleen Bunn (Matt), Megan Maynard (Joe), Sean (Lauren), and Evan Haggarty, Jason Basta (Michelle) and Maureen Soldano (Michael) and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Clark was a WWII veteran serving in the 2nd Infantry Division in the European theatre. After the war, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve and continued his service until he retired as a chief Warrant Officer 3 in 1976 with 30 years of service. He then assumed a second career in banking and retired as Chief Executive Officer of the Dime Bank, Honesdale, PA in 1991. He and his wife then moved to Sun City West, AZ in retirement. Mr. Clark served the Sheriff’s Posse of Sun City West for 12 years and was its commander in 2003. He was a Life member of the Knights of Columbus council 11809 in Sun City West and the Knights of Columbus Assembly 1673 in Sun City where he held several officer positions. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 94, Sun City West where he was a past commander and finance officer. He was also a member of the VFW post 10695 Sun City West.
