Frances Viola Shore Langford, 86, a longtime resident of Peoria, AZ, died Saturday, November 16th at Hospice of the Valley at the Thunderbird location.
Frances was proceeded in death by her husband, Gordon Alva Langford, who passed away in December 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Toni Roadruck and son-in-law John Roadruck; and her son Paul Langford and his wife Vicki Langford. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved and adored very much.
Frances Viola Shore Langford was born February 14, 1933, the fifth child, born to the parents of John Edward Shore and Icia Elizabeth Stewart. She had two brothers and two sisters born before her and one brother born after her. Dorothy Irene Hoselton, John Robert, Arelene Elizabeth, Clifford Allen, and then the unnamed son who only lived a few hours. Her being the baby of the family, her older brothers and sisters thought she was pampered and spoiled. She spent her early years during the depression in Kirk, Yuma, Colorado. She was very close to her brother Clifford. They were only thirteen months apart and did most everything together. Where one was the other was not far off. They usually went to the movies on the weekends or picnics in the summer.
After she graduated from high school she worked various jobs until the last fifty years of her life when she worked as a personal bookkeeper for Dale Rumsey. Her passion was doing family history work. She loved to make fabric rugs for family and friends, and at church she made blankets for the newborns. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in the church and gave many hours of service. She was loved by all and will be missed.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 22034 N. 83rd Ave. Peoria, AZ 85383. Viewing is at 10 am and the service is at 11 am. Interment will be at the VA Memorial Cemetery November, 23 at 10:30 am.
