He eventually moved to Freehold, New Jersey with his wife and daughter and worked at Digital Equipment Corporation for many years. He began the second chapter of his life when he moved to Surprise, Arizona in 1998 and built a another network of close, loving friends.
Jerry was an extremely kind, helpful, tenacious, brilliant man, and was an avid lover of aeronautics, technology, jazz music, movies and reading. He would often say, “Reading is theater of the mind.”

“When you plant seeds in the lives of others
And water them with love and care
You will reap a harvest of sweet memories
That will follow you everywhere
Ones that will not end. “
