Obituary

Linda Margaret Leoni, Caring daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend died on May 29, 2019 at the age of 57. Linda was born on September 15, 1961 in Kansas City, MO to Peggy Hughes and Paul Edward Leoni. She grew up in Chicago Heights, IL, Topeka, Kansas, and Olathe, Kansas where she graduated from Olathe High School in 1980. She attended Pittsburg State University for two years and transferred to Montana University in Missoula, MT. Linda was a “Free Spirit” who loved adventure and never wanted to stay in any one place too long.  For example, she left school to take a position as a cook for horseback camping trips into the Montana mountains! This urge to travel led her across the country from the State of Washington to Flint, Michigan where she drove a roller machine for a highway construction project.  She was very good in sales’ positions and used this skill in many of her jobs. Linda had a very soft heart and was particularly fond of cats.  She once cared for 10 cats, some were strays, while looking for their forever homes. Linda lived in Springfield, MO for several years before moving to Arizona in 2001. She lived in Phoenix and several different suburbs before passing away in Scottsdale. Linda was predeceased by her father, Paul E. Leoni, step-father, Dr. Charles D. Glazzard, and two sets of grandparents, May and Paul N. Leoni and Margaret and Dan Hughes.

Survivors include: her mother, Peggy Glazzard of Sun City West, AZ; two brothers, P. Dan Leoni (Paula) of Cave Creek, AZ, William Leoni of Dublin, CA;  two step-brothers, Charles Glazzard (Yolanda) of Houston, TX, Eric Glazzard (Ingrid) of Portland, OR; two step-sisters, Kim Glazzard of Sacramento, CA, Teri Glazzard Pancoast (John) of Thief River Falls, MN; cousin Marty Williams of Cherokee Village, AR; 7 nephews, Chad, Blake, Sean, Joe, Paul, Chase, and Adam; 4 nieces, Erica, Megan, Laura and Danielle; and two grandnephews, Elan and Ezra. Linda’s loving and roving spirit will be missed by all as her greatest adventure began on May 29, 2019!
