Ralph Dente, Sr. passed away on October 3, 2019. Ralph was born on January 11, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York to Generoso and Maria Dente. He graduated high school with a vocational degree in automotive studies. Ralph served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1956 when he was honorably discharged. He went on to work for over 40 years as a Supervising Longshoreman in Manhattan, New York. Ralph was widowed in 1955 when his first wife, Antionette Dente, passed away. He remarried in 1959 to Frances Biviano Dente and they remained married until her death in 2019. Ralph was an avid bowler for most of his life and had a love of baseball, remaining a Yankee fan all his life. Ralph lived on Long Island, New York until 1992, when he and his wife retired to Deerfield Beach, Florida where they lived until 2017. They then moved to Peoria, Arizona to be close to their daughter and her family. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Roseann Zaner and husband, Richard Zaner, son Ralph Dente, Jr. and wife, Marie Dente, and son Thomas Dente. He is also survived by grandchildren, Rebecca Kieran and her husband, Douglas Kieran, Rachel Zaner and boyfriend, Benjamin Bloch, Laura Rodriguez and Lisa Dente. He is also survived by his brother Jerry Dente. Funeral services to be held, October 8, 2019 at Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel. Visitation at 10:00am followed by service at 11:00am. Burial at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix at 1:30pm.
