WILLS, Rodger James, age 71 of Sun City, passed away December 9, 2019 after a sudden illness. He was born on February 17, 1948 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to Clifford R. and Alice M. Wills (nee Nelson). Rodger was married to Carol Ann (nee Jacobe) Wills for 50 years. They were united in marriage on May 31, 1969 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rodger graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1966 (Monona, Wisconsin) and from The University of Wisconsin, Whitewater in 1975 with a degree in Business Administration. Rodger was a member of the Army National Guard of Wisconsin for 12 years. Rodger retired in 2013 from AAA as a dispatcher. Rodger also worked for many years in Logistics Management for Young Radiator Co. in Racine, Wisconsin. Rodger is survived by his wife, Carol; his two daughters, Tana Winski and Toni Cherney; his sons-in-law, Anthony M. Winski and Jason T. Cherney. He is further survived by his four grandchildren, Matthew and Katherine Winski and Sylvia and Linus Cherney and a sister, Dianne (Ben) Coopman and brother, Thomas Wills.
Rodger enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, going dancing with his wife, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. A mass of Christian burial will take place on December 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, 9728 W Palmeras Dr., Sun City, AZ 85373. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rodger’s memory are appreciated to the HALO Dog Rescue (www.halorescue.org) or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital as he had a true love of kids and animals.
