William "Bill" Grant Looper

September 13, 1954 ~ December 13, 2019 (age 65)

William Grant Looper (“Bill” or “Billy”) was born in Los Angeles, California on September 13th, 1954. He was the second of seven children born to Murray and Helen (VandeWetering) Looper. He passed peacefully and surrounded by family on December 13th, 2019 after a life-long fight against Alport Syndrome.

Bill married Donna Archibald in 1975 (div.1985), giving birth to their two children, Kristen and Sean. In March of 1997 Bill married Andrea [Wasielewski] and their marriage spanned 22 years until his death.

Bill was extroverted and charismatic, treating perfect strangers like life-long friends. He enjoyed stirring up lively conversation and being surrounded by family and friends. Bill had a love for Alpha Romeos, owning one in his younger years and restoring another to pristine condition decades later. His mechanical prowess led him to spend nearly his entire career running his own printing press service and brokerage business, Looper’s Graphic Services. In his younger years, Bill enjoyed boating, camping, and other outdoor activities with family and friends. He dreamed of owning a motorhome again and traveling throughout the US during his retirement years with family.

Bill is survived by his wife of 22 years; Andrea (Wasielewski), his two children Sean (Julie) Looper, Kristen (Jared King) Looper, his step-children Angie (Jesus) White, Andrea (Josh) Nowakowski, and Austin. He is also survived by his granddaughters Lucy (Sean & Julie) and Myah Ashley (Kristen), step-grandchildren Reyna (Angie), Pam (Andrea) and grandson JJ (Andrea), his beloved mother Helen (Jim) Head, siblings Debra (Dan) Richards, Jeanne (Charlie) Petersen, Mike (Kim) Looper, Bethy (Gordy Theis) Looper and Cindy (Hans Kahl) Looper-Riley.  Bill was preceded in death by his father Murray V. Looper, Sr., and his brother Murray V. Looper, Jr. Bill leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him.

A private Celebration of Bill's life will be held in Tonopah.  In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Alport Syndrome Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation or the Children's House International.
