The number of servants he has
but the number of people he has served.
Charles Alan Strange was born in 1941 in Aurora Colorado.
He joined the United States Army in 1958 where he served for 21 years.
Chuck served in Vietnam, Germany, Alaska and France.
Chuck left us on February 13, 2020 with his beloved wife Rosie at his side
and in her arms.
Chuck served his communities since arriving in Arizona in 1999 from Georgia.
He was a member of the Peoria Chamber for 15+ years. He served on the Board
of Directors ads well as many other positions he filled. Chuck also served on the
Surprise Chamber and was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Surprise.
He was active in many charities and volunteer positions,Sun City Visitors Center,
Rio Vista Veterans Memorial Wall, Luke Air Force Base, Peoria Sports Complex,
Military Affairs Committee and many more.
Chuck loved to golf so what better place to work than Hillcrest Golf Course, not
only did Chuck work there he also volunteered for many charity events. He was
also a long time member of the Legion Post 62 Golf Course and the Sun City
Golf Club where he worked and played.
Chuck and Rosie were often seen at ribbon cuttings, charity events, chamber
events and always giving freely of their time.
Chuck and Rosie were married in 1994 and recently celebrated their 25th
wedding anniversary on September 24th. He is survived by his loving wife
Rosie, two sons, Alan and Chris, his daughter Laura, two sisters, Barbara
and Carolyn along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Coyote Lakes Golf Club on February
28, 2020 at 12:00 P.M.. 18800 N. Coyote Lakes Pkwy in Surprise, AZ.
Refreshments will follow.
