Elaine 'Charleen' Daniels, age 75, passed away on Thursday, 2/4/21 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on 8/2/45 to Charles and Elaine Taylor in Oak Park, Illinois. Charleen spent her career as a nurse, training at Bellevue Hospital and School of Nursing. Once becoming a nurse, she decided to serve our country by joining the United States Air Force. She then furthered her education to obtain her bachelor degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Charleen spent her life dedicated to serving others and her country. She was a fearless leader, compassionate caregiver and friend to many. She enjoyed spending her time reading, crafting and quilting but her greatest joy was being a "Grammy". She had an undying love and passion for all animals, rescuing and caring for many throughout her life. Through a wildlife trust out of Africa, she donated and 'adopted' two elephants who were rescued from poachers. She followed the progress and care of these animals and loved them as if they were her own. Charleen is survived by her daughter Wendy Greene, her husband Rodney Greene, their daughter Mackenzie Greene as well as countless friends and loved one's whose lives she touched throughout her life.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm, 2/25/21, at the National Memorial Cemetery located at 23029 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024. David Foster will be officiating.
