The Gates of Heaven opened on August 5, 2020 and welcomed another angel home. Elizabeth Ann (Betsy) Krewer Stahl of El Mirage, Arizona lost her fight with COVID early Wednesday morning. She was born on August 24, 1958 to the late John F. and Elizabeth J. Krewer in Evanston, Illinois. She attended Eastwood High School in El Paso, Texas and graduated in 1976. She earned an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy Technician in 1991. Betsy was employed at the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in Phoenix as a Supervisory Alternative Payment Specialist and was an outstanding mentor, colleague, and friend.
She was truly a unique and loving woman who lived her life according to her own agenda. She was admired for her honesty and fierceness and dedication to helping make the world a little bit better for those people that were fortunate enough to have known her. Betsy was her own person and never held back on her keen ability to help move people in her life toward self-reflection and honesty. You could always count on her to tell you what you needed to hear, not what you wanted to hear.…and that openness will be deeply missed
Betsy loved her son Shaun with every part of her soul. She was a mother who adored her son and was blessed to have two grandchildren (Kayla and Caden) that made her world spin with pure joy. Her son and grandchildren were the best part of her day.
Betsy was fortunate to have a loving cherished partner that she shared her life with for the last 33 years. Scott was her best partner in life and inspired her on a daily basis. She shared furry babies with Scott, who were well loved by her and were comforting to her spirit.
Betsy is also survived by her two sister Noreen Krewer Scott and her husband Rob and Mary Ann Crafton-Williams and her husband Edward. Bob Stahl, her husband and father of Shaun and several nieces and nephews.
