James R. Hibler, passed away December 22, 2020 at the age of 81.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia (Ginny), their three sons, Paul Hibler of Portland Maine, David Hibler of Scottsdale Arizona, and Glenn Hibler of Miami Florida, and seven grandchildren.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA., the son of Golder (Bob) Hibler and Rose Agnes Cannon Hibler, and older brother of his sister, Susan Perry. He attended Norwood Academy, St. Luke’s Parochial, and LaSalle High School. He also attended college at both Villanova and LaSalle University.
Jim began his business career in the accounting department of Philco/Ford Motor Company. In 1964, he transitioned into Sales, joining McGraw Edison Corporation, as a manufacturers representative. He had a successful sales career in the commercial food service industry for over 32 years, which culminated with the launch of his own business, Hibler & Associates, in Westwood, NJ.
Jim’s influence on people as a parent, football coach, friend, and mentor was felt by many. He enjoyed baseball, basketball, and football, and his favorite sport was golf.
In 2010, he and Ginny moved to Sun City West Arizona. He overcame a lengthy battle with cancer and in gratitude, became a patient advocate to help local seniors navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. He helped arrange their appointments, provide them transportation, and assist them with their insurance. He wrote a book and patient advocate guide to assist seniors in navigating the healthcare system.
