Margaret Jane (Remisoski) Turner

November 28, 1935 ~ July 20, 2020 (age 84)

Obituary

Margaret Jane (Remisoski) Turner, 84, passed away peacefully in her Arizona home on July 20, 2020 due to complications from a stroke.

Peggy, as she was called, was born on November 28, 1935 in Detroit, MI to Joseph and Margaret (Feltman) Remisoski. She was the second oldest of their five children.

On March 21, 1953 she eloped with the love of her life, Everett, in Waukegan, Illinois. They shared 67 amazing years together with thousands of beautiful memories and just as many stories. Through both loss and laughter, their marriage has been something to be admired and cherished. They have been an excellent example of love and determination for their family and all who have had the pleasure of knowing them.

A dedicated wife and mother, Peggy raised eight children whom she loved fiercely. Her family was her most prized possession and she would do anything for any of them.

Peggy enjoyed sports, especially motorcycle riding with her husband in their early years, playing and coaching softball, bowling, backyard volleyball, and foursquare with her grandkids. She was also the biggest and best fan, cheering on her children at their many sporting events. While outside, she could always be found working in a vegetable garden or planting and tending to flowers. She was an avid and admirable card player and especially enjoyed a good game of Euchre. She was passionate and competitive about her Euchre! She also adored going to Bingo with her girls and the casino with her sisters.

Peggy had a spitfire personality on a tiny frame. She was honest and straightforward, compassionate and caring, with the perfect amount of sass and love for all who knew her. While she was not one for garish displays of affection, if you were lucky enough to be loved by her, you certainly knew it and felt it just by being in her presence.

Peggy is preceded in death by her first granddaughter Megan, daughter Cheryl, son Glen, and her twin brothers Thomas and Joseph.

Peggy is survived by her devoted husband Everett, sons Dennis, Paul (Cathie), Timothy (Karen), Ross (Nanette), Robert, and daughter Holly (Brian). She also leaves behind 19 beloved grandchildren and 24 beautiful great grandchildren, her 3 sisters: Marcella, Patricia & Annette.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be planned at a later date. In the meantime, the family is grateful for all those who have loved Margaret and look forward to reading your memories and stories of this wonderful woman.  Please join Margaret’s family in sharing memories, pictures or videos on her tribute wall at www.caminodelsol.com.
