William Blair Albert Jr. 81 of Buckeye, AZ, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2020 in Glendale, AZ with his family at his side. He was born in Greensburg, PA on September 29th, 1938 to William Blair Albert Sr. and Irene Frances Albert. He attended Greensburg High School graduating class of 1956.
On June 24, 1961 at St. Bernard’s church in Plainfield, NJ he married Marie Elaine DiMarco, his wife of 59 years. William worked as a Mfg. Sales representative for RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. for 27 years. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge.
He very much enjoyed traveling to his home state of Pennsylvania with family and showing them his childhood schools, churches, and eateries. He had a passion for tracking the family heritage and spent extensive time walking the cemeteries in the hills of Pennsylvania doing research. He very much loved his adopted state of Arizona and spent 48 years in the 48th state traveling with his family to every corner of the state to enjoy the scenery and learn the history. He very much loved the mountains and the beauty that they held. Above all, he loved his family and spent endless amounts of time buying thoughtful gifts for every occasion, baking and cooking for everyone, telling jokes and making friends. He loved and cared for his entire family and he was loved more than he will ever know by everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and we are all saddened by the loss of such a wonderful human being.
William is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marie Elaine Albert; his children Denise Elaine Nance, William Blair Albert III, Robert Anthony Albert; his Daughter’s-in-law Annette Albert, Andrea Albert; his grandchildren Lacey Jeannette Peck, Victoria Blair McElyea, Haley Marie Turner, Alexandria Gayle Albert, Robert Anthony Albert Jr.; his step grandchildren Christopher Nance, Corey Nance, Andrew Nance; his great grandchildren Maverick Austin Peck, Maddox Marie Peck. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Irene, sister Nancy Lee Comanse, son-in-law Scott Nance.
Funeral services will be held at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery at 10:00 am on Tuesday July 14, 2020, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008
